Rural Libraries Offer Special March Break Events!
March Break begins March 12th and students return to school Monday, March 19th. Rural libraries in our area are offering a number of special programs to help keep kids entertained. Be sure to mark these dates on your calendar.

Great Bobolini Brings Dunsford Magical Laughter
Library Presents The Great Bobolini!
Laughter! Fun! Magic! The Great Bobolini thrills the young and young at heart with his presentations, and you can enjoy this special presentation at the Dunsford Branch of the City of Kawartha Lakes Library. The presentation begins 11 am Wednesday, March 14 at 26 Community Centre Road, Dunsford.
The Great Bobolini first took up magic as a hobby over twenty years ago, then turned it into a second career. Working with agencies in Toronto and St. Catherines, The Great Bobolini has performed magic for many major corporations in the Niagara peninsula, but his forte is doing comedy magic for seniors’ centers, churches and banquets. After retiring from a family owned furniture business, The Great Bobolini and his wife, Priscilla, moved to Bobcaygeon. The Great Bobolini says,”Magic makes the world a better place.!” Be sure to mark your calendar for this free fun event!

CMHA-Peterborough Branch is pleased to once again be offering performances of the Kids on the Block, a special troupe of educational puppets that dress and act like real children. Each one has definite likes and dislikes, hopes and fears, talents and limitations. And, like real children, some have differences such as mental, physical and emotional disabilities.
They offer ten lively, upbeat shows designed by Kids on the Block Inc., that deal with the important issues of children's mental health, being a child of divorced parents, and bullies and school safety. Through a new partnership with Epilepsy Peterborough they are also offering two shows about epilepsy.
Kids on the Block will be appearing in free performances over the March Break at area libraries including three rural libraries- Omemee, Bruce Johnston Branch Cavan, and Millbrook. The Omemee performance will be Monday March 12 at 10:30 am; Bruce Johnston on Tuesday, March 13 at 10 am; and the Millbrook performance takes place Wednesday March 14 at 10 am. Be sure to mark these dates on your calendar.

Cinderella - Fun Folk Theatre Millbrook!
Fun Folk Theatre Presents:Cinderella!
"Cinderella" the most wonderful fairy tale, will be playing in Millbrook during March Break. Full of fun, complete with a "Panto Horse", laughter,and singing. This presentation is all around good medicine for the winter blues and everyone who is young at heart!
Performances will take place at the Millbrook Legion 9 King St E, Millbrook Mar 12 and 13 at 6:30 pm,as well as Mar 15 and 16 at 2:00 pm Tickets are only $5:00 per person and include free refreshments.

Omemee Curling Club Hosts 26th Annual Pigeon Mixed Spiel!
Just found this event on the Omemee Curling Club Site. It’s a bit late for entries, but it you’re really keen, you could give them a call and see if you can Blarney yourself into the Spiel, or perhaps the dinner or dance. Who knows- perhaps someone will have cancelled.

Safari Adventure Computer Workshop Wednesday, March 16.
Local children will have the chance to go on a virtual safari adventure through computer workshops at all library branches throughout the city this March break.Space is limited and children are invited to register in advance at their local library
