There are many free online resources available for both Bridge Newbies and seasoned players. This week's online resource review looks at FREE resources offered by Richard Pavlicek, Grand Life Master, of the American Contract Bridge League.
Bridge Basics
If you are new to Bridge, there are some excellent free online resources that can help you quickly pick up Bridge Basics, but there is nothing like first-hand experience to help it all come together.Richard Pavlicek, Grand Life Master, in the American Contract Bridge League, offers this advice about learning to play Bridge:
At the outset, a student should learn a little bit of everything rather than try to master any particular area. This allows bridge to be played and enjoyed almost immediately. Only after gaining experience should a student pursue the finer points necessary to become a skillful player.Mr. Pavlicek, winner of 11 North American championships, has made his Bridge textbook Bridge Basics available as a FREE online resource.
