Catelli Pasta and Local Asparagus Tasty Tuesday Recipe Even Helps Local Food Bank

Catelli Healthy Harvest Pasta Pledges Support To Canadian Food banks If You Help Too!

May 31st is World Hunger Day, Catelli pasta is taking part in a big way. Catelli is donating a serving of pasta to Food banks across Canada when people participate in their current contest and attempt at setting a new World Record.  Read on for today’s tasty recipe featuring local asparagus, and for more details about this contest.
Here are some details of Catelli Pasta’s Great Pasta Giveaway:
Catelli is attempting to set a new world record by having 5.000 people pledge to eat Catelli pasta on World Hunger Day (May 31).Catelli is donating a serving of pasta to Food banks for each person who pledges to take part in the World record attempt, and if they reach their goal. will donate another 10,000 servings. In addition,  Catelli is donating pasta for each purchase of certain types of Catelli pasta from May 27th to June 23rd, and also kicking off a contest May 27th where one lucky person each week, will win a $250 gift certificate for themselves and a food bank of their choice.

With Catelli encouraging people to purchase their pasta between May 27th and June 23rd,you might think they would "jack up the price". However, Catelli is really intent on making it as easy as possible for people to take part in this World Record attempt. Catelli has issued a Coupon for $0.75 off their Healthy Harvest Pasta. Sceptics might think Catelli, or grocery stores would take advantage of this event by raising the price of Catelli pasta during this time period, but according to our local Foodland manager, there has been a huge price drop in Catelli Healthy Harvest pasta to support this event.
Chad Jolicoeur, manager of Omemee Foodland noted: As of this coming Friday, select packages of Catelli Healthy Harvest Pasta will be on sale for $1." adding "We are hoping people will take advantage of this great deal to donate extra purchases to the Omemee Food Bank, and will be raising awareness of  World Hunger Day in our store."
