Historic Millbrook Hosts Ladies Night August 4th!

Millbrook 7th Annual Lasies Night Lamp post Contest Girls’ Night Out themed fun in Historic Millbrook Thursday August 4th from 4:00pm until 9:00pm provides fun frivolity, while raising funds for worthwhile organizations,
Once a year, all the merchants in Millbrook get together to provide something special for women. Each year’s event is better than the last one. The 7th annual Ladies’ Night takes place in Millbrook from 4:00pm until 9:00pm on Thursday August 4th. This year’s theme is Girls’ Night Out. CHEX News Watch recently highlighted some of the many activities to take place this Thursday night. Here, thanks to Ian McQuarrie of Bear Essentials, is a run down of some of the fun in store for ladies visiting Millbrook August 4th.

Street Closed-Live Entertainment! Free Draws!

King Street will be closed from 2:00pm until 10:00pm to make room for all of the evening’s Special Events.
  • A Colio Wine Garden, featuring ‘Girls Night Out’ wine will be set up in the Legion’s Garden. Lots of food will be available both in the restaurants and on the street including Millbrook Legion and, of course, from Sylvia’s Restaurant and The Pastry Peddler.
  • Live Entertainment provided by Rob Phillips and Chelsea Bennett will set the atmosphere,and there will be demonstrations of Clogging, Zumba and Hulla Hoopping.
  • 40 Street Vendors, with everything from Wine and Wedding Cakes to Clothing and Jewellery will be lining the street.
  • Special Sales, free Draws, and gifts with purchase are just some of the other things planned for the evening. 

Fundraisers:Community Care,Survivors Abreast, YMCA Crossroads Shelter

Enjoy the Decorated Lamp Post Competition and view the creative ideas. All proceeds from this event, provided by each lamp post sponsor, will be donated to the YMCA Crossroads Shelter. There will be a 50/50 Draw with proceeds to Community Care. Plus, you’ll want to buy a ticket on the Deluxe Diva Basket with all proceeds going to Survivors Abreast. Over $500 worth of 'Diva' items including a comfy Bamboo Robe, Wine Glasses, Chocolates, Lotions & Creams, Jams and Jellies, lip gloss, and much much more. Tickets $10 or 3/$20.
