Young Woman Lifts Wallets- Be Vigilant Offering Rides!
Wallet Thefts
City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is asking the community to be vigilant in preventing a spree of wallet thefts. Police are investigating several incidents whereby a young woman is soliciting rides from female drivers in the business section of Lindsay. While unsuspecting good Samaritans are taxiing the young lady around town, she is removing their wallet from their purse.
Light Fingered Suspect Description
The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’7” tall, late teens to early twenties with a thin build and dark hair. She has been identified in several occasions to be wearing a white jacket with a black design, and carrying a back pack. Anyone with information as to the identity of this female is asked to call the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service at 705 - 324-6307 or Kawartha Halliburton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS .
