Join My Camino Author Walking Kawartha Trans Canada Trail
Sue Kenney- Author My Camino Walking Trail Through Omemee April 14 & 15th!
Join Sue as she walks the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail from Peterborough to Lindsay and you can get free admission to the Lifestyle Show in Lindsay. Ms Kenney will be stopping at 5 pm tomorrow evening at the Omemee bridge, and start her walk the following morning at 9 a.m. While you’re walking keep your eyes peeled for Ruth Tait who be taking photos of the event. For centuries, people have traveled the Camino of Santiago de Compostela a famous pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, in northwest Spain.This route even inspired the very first travel guide, written in 1140. Since that time, people seeking fulfillment, inner peace, and enlightenment have undertaken this journey.
Join Canadian Sue Kenney on her Kawartha Trans Canada Trail Walk and learn about her two lengthy pilgrimages on the Camino.inspired her Books: My Camino: A True Story About the Spiritual Journey of a Woman Confronting Her Deepest Fear
and Confessions of a Pilgrim. Kenney's walk starts in Peterborough at Jackson Park at 9 a.m.and ends at 5 p.m. at the Omemee Pigeon River Bridge. On Friday, Apr. 15, Kenney resumes her walk at 8 a.m at the Omemee Pigeon River Bridge, ending at the Lindsay fairgrounds at 4:30 pm. where she will give a book talk at the Silver Connections Lifestyle Show on Saturday Apr.16 at 1 p.m. Check out the Kawartha Public Library site links for more information about Life Style Show events on this weekend.
