Omemee First Annual Bass Fishing Festival –Join In!
Omemee Businesses,Community Groups Offering Fun Festivities!
Updated Aug 12 noonKawartha Kayak Anglers member Chris Noble posted an ad on Kijiji earlier this year, inviting people to contact him if they wished to participate in the event on Saturday, August 13th,. Immediately, following this we sent an email to our contact list inviting local businesses to participate in helping make this a bigger event. Here is the line up of events for Saturday: Early morning festivities will be at Omemee Boat Launch; Afternoon-by Omemee Beach; followed by a Jack and Jill Dance in the evening at the Emily-Omemee Community Centre. We will add updates as more information rolls in.
Here’s the Activity Line up so far:
Omemee Boat Launch
7 a.m to 4 p.m. 1st Annual Kawartha Lakes Kayak Bass Tournament
7 a.m Blakes Hot Dog Cart
7 a.m Kawartha Marine Boat Recycling –Setting up for Free Tackle Share for kids (Parents must borrow) Free 2011-2012 Guide to Eating Ontario Sport Fish for Parents (Kids Free Tackle Share re-opening at Omemee Beach at 2:00 pm)
9:00 am Kids Clowning Around Show

10:30 a.m- 5 pm Gently Read Books 2 George Street South –Enter to Win a a $5 Gently Read Books Gift Certificate or a Bass Fishing T-Shirt with your design from NP Media Business Solutions12:00 –8:00 Free BBQ Presented by Omemee Men’s Christian Fellowship and Ruby’s Roost Cafe and Pastry Shop -Tons of Free Giveaways!
2:00 - 4 pm Bike Decorating Contest 1st 2nd 3rd Prizes!
