From Nancy Warren - Fowlers Corners and District LionsFowlers Corners and District Lions Club will celebrate the Holiday Season by hosting their Happy Holidays Craft and Bake Sale for the third consecutive year. Lions are busy baking up a storm for this event. Here is just one of the many delicious recipes that will be available on the Lions Bake table during the sale November 19th. Baking goes fast at these sales, so you may want to call to reserve some baking in advance or make sure you are one of the early birds at the show.

Fireworks! Fowler’s Corner’s Lions Annual Fireworks Sale Starts May 19
Let Your Fun Help Others! 
Fowler’s Corners and District Lions Club annual fireworks fundraiser sale starts May 19 and runs to May 23rd. Although you might think the sale would be at Fowler’s Corners, it is at Pinto’s Corners (the corner of Lansdowne and Hwy 7.Fowler’s Corners Lions will be on hand to help you light up your life, each day during the sale from10 a.m. to 8 p.m., except Monday, when they will close at 3 p.m.
Be sure to watch for their Canada Day Fireworks Sale at the end of June , and Labour Day September Fireworks Sales later this year. Money raised from the Fowler’s Corners Fireworks sales goes to service works projects.
Some of the projects Fowler’s Corners and District Lion’s are involved in include: Kawartha Trans Canada Rail Trail, and Lions Canada Foundation Walk for Dog Guides.

Wheelchair Accessible Purina® Walk for Dog Guides May 29th Start Collecting Pledges Now!

Four local clubs will join forces Sunday, May 29 with over 200 Lions clubs across Canada to raise funds that will help Canadians with disabilities live more independent lives. Our three area Lions clubs: Omemee and District, Fowler's Corners and District, and Dunsford and District, as well as Omemee Lioness; are working together to host a Purina® Walk for Dog Guides along part of the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail. Since 1983, Lions Foundation of Canada has provided Dog Guides to more than 1600 people of all ages with disabilities.
